A Message from our Founder
The world likes to put a title of “founder” on a person, but I know that it is God’s love who has founded this organization Hidden Jewels! I give Him all the glory of being the true Founder. While I am a California certified sex trafficking advocate, I’m also one of the few women who lead an organization in the sex industry who has never been it. While some might count that as disqualifying not being a survivor of the sex industry, I know God has called me to help women in it. He initially used a special friendship to open my eyes to all the realities of what women go through in the sex industry and what often leads them there by her sharing her life story. The more stories I heard of women who’ve been in the industry, the more I felt God’s love for them grow in my heart. Our stories are powerful! A few years later I was the executive director for 6 years of an organization who reached out to women in the adult entertainment industry. Through a turn of events, God led me to begin my own organization in the end of 2022 and Hidden Jewels was founded with our first outreach Valentines 2023!
God has surrounded me with women who have been in the industry and those that haven’t, to serve alongside me in Hidden Jewels and they all equally love the women in these clubs! We are a beautiful mix of women all from different backgrounds and struggles, yet united by God’s love.
While I’m not a survivor of the sex industry, I’m a survivor of my own set of hardships in life. Many of those struggles I don’t put on blast to the masses but I’m very transparent about them in my relationships with people who want to be real. I’ve learned so much in how to overcome with my own wrongs I’ve done and the wrongs done to me. The heart of these things is what connects me to each woman in the clubs we go to. The same truths and love that God used to heal me are the same truths and love that God uses to heal the women in the clubs too.
My heart and purpose of this organization is that each precious woman we come across in the strip clubs knows they are loved by us and more importantly perfectly loved by God. That His love and our support would assist in experiencing freedom from any oppression and the power to overcome in all areas of life!

Marlene has a BA degree in Liberal Studies from University of Redlands, Masters degree in Teaching from Azusa Pacific University and an associates degree in Biblical Studies. She has enjoyed serving in leadership roles as a teacher, in non-profit work, and in various ministries over the years. Her heart resides with her husband and children in the Inland Empire area of Southern California.

As a dedicated Certified Human Trafficking Advocate and Life Coach, Cher is deeply committed to the prevention and education of young individuals. With a background as a Youth Mentor, Youth Leader, Senior Camp Leader, and Women’s Group Leader/Mentor for a non-profit organization, Cher brings a wealth of experience to her mission. Overcoming personal challenges, including physical, domestic, and sexual abuse, fuels her passion to support and empower women and youth.
Since 2016, Cher has actively engaged in strip club ministry, currently holding the position of Secretary and taking the lead in creating collateral materials. Beyond administrative responsibilities, she actively contributes to the cause as the videographer and film editor for testimonial videos, amplifying the voices of those she seeks to assist. Cher is also involved in outreach and gift preparation, adding a hands-on dimension to her commitment to helping others.
Shannon

Devotional Writer
Shannon, a certified human trafficking advocate, mentor/peer support specialist, and mental health crisis prevention analyst, holds state certifications in her dedicated roles. Having once worked in strip clubs, Shannon is not only a survivor of sex trafficking but has triumphed over emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. She has contributed to women’s homes catering to victims of human/sex trafficking and domestic abuse, joining strip club ministry in 2017.
Driven by a passion for mentoring and supporting women in the sex industry, Shannon connects with their experiences without judgment, extending love right where they are. Her multifaceted role includes serving as a Devotional Writer, participating in outreach and gift preparation, and offering her expertise on the sex industry in our videos. Shannon’s commitment lies in empowering and encouraging women, drawing from her own journey of resilience and recovery.
Yvonne
Outreach Team Member
Yvonne joined Hidden Jewels Ministry in 2023, contributing significantly by assisting in the preparation of numerous outreach gifts annually. She is an integral part of the prayer team and serves as an expert on the sex industry in our videos. Yvonne’s personal journey reflects triumph over a past life of prostitution and drug addiction, a transformation she credits to Jesus setting her free many years ago. Guided by divine intervention, she now works as a special education teacher, grateful for the opportunities provided by God.
Beyond her role at Hidden Jewels, Yvonne is the ministry founder of Table 14 and actively participates in Teen Challenge and prison ministry through her church. Her deep-seated passion within Hidden Jewels is to witness women in the sex industry experience liberation through Jesus, mirroring her own journey of freedom and redemption.
Juanita
Devotional Writer
Juanita, a prayer intercessor and devotional writer at Hidden Jewels, resides in Southern Oregon with her two teenagers. She is actively engaged in MIP (Mom’s In Prayer), praying for all the children in her area. As a Child Behavioral Specialist with degrees in Early Childhood Education and Bible, certified in Trauma Informed Education, Juanita has triumphed over childhood traumas. Despite seeking love in the wrong places, she found unwavering faith in God, who remained faithful. Through a deep connection with Jesus in prayer and scripture, Juanita discovered her identity and inheritance in Christ. Her writing aims to inspire trust in God’s transformative power to bring love, healing, and purpose to your life.
